Florabella Falls are possibly the only named falls located at Blaxland, I highly doubt you have ever heard of them, let alone know where they are, they are off the beaten track, but not far at all, no real walking track exists to them technically, though you start on one and soon leave it for a faint footpad that heads towards the creek itself.
These falls do not ever have much in the way of water flow making them Ephemeral in nature, to see them with any real water, you would need to visit straight after a good storm, the first picture here is normal flow, and that is after plenty of rain has fallen in the mountains, the feeding catchment for these falls is very small, so, even after a good storm, the water will flow through very quickly and be back to a trickle.
To access these falls, park in Plateau Parade in Blaxland, if you look at the map below, you will see a paved driveway that has the access track to Florabella Pass starting on it, once you go down a level and the track goes right, you may notice (unmarked) faint track going down and left, this heads to the creek, you will need to scramble down either side of the falls into the gully to see them. Not suitable for kids, or if you have never walked off-track.
I fully intend to return straight after a good storm to see how much difference there is, I do believe with the multiple levels, they will produce a short-lived pretty set of falls.
