When flowing well, Terrace Falls are by far one of the most spectacular "stepped" waterfalls on the mountains, there are 8 cascades resulting in lots of nice flowing water and from the right vantage points up higher on the opposite bank to the walking track, you get a better view of all the steps.

As you come down the walking track, there is a sign there saying "extremely slippery", trust me, it is there for a reason! The rocks are VERY, or in this case, extremely slippery so when walking on the rocks, be very careful!

You can access these falls from the walking track from Victor Falls, from the old car parks above, or from downstream where Terrace Creek meets Bedford Creek. No matter which way you come, it is going to take some walking to get here, the shortest and most direct route, is from where the Terrace falls fire trail comes out at Heron Place / Valley Rd at Hazelbrook, it is all downhill from there with not much shade. Plenty of shade once you descend down into the Terrace Creek gully though.

If you look at the rocky creek bed, you will notice some rectangular holes with concrete, this was one of the attempts to have a bride / viewing platform here, just in front of this, you can see small diameter pipe also embedded in the rock and cut off at ground level, when this creek floods, nothing stays in its way for too long.

Kids will have no issues getting to these falls, the walking tracks are good, just watch the slippery rocks, and remember the distance and hills to deal with on the way back out.

I reached these falls at the wrong time of the day with the sun overhead, making it challenging to get some nice pics, even with an ND filter, I will revisit again with more flow and more suitable lighting conditions.
